This is a question you might ask. Are there any differences? Is it the same if you use TrustWallet (which isn't a hardware wallet) or if you use a SafePal, a Trezor, or a Ledger? The last two are the most popular and famous hardware wallets on the market, and you will for sure find articles claiming that the Ledger is the best, just like you will find articles saying that the Trezor is the best... or maybe the SafePal. So what is the truth? Are there any differences?
There are actually quite big differences!
It is important to know that there are actually quite big differences between the different wallets. For example, SafePal doesn't support MetaMask at all. That is a problem that can be solved quite easily with WalletConnect on many sites, but it will cause trouble if you want to do a lot of transactions on other blockchains (not Ethereum and not the Binance Smart Chain).
Trezor is very easy to combine with MetaMask, while Ledger is adding quite a few requirements which makes it a little bit more complicated, but not that hard. In other words, you can make it work and once you have learned the method, you will have no trouble using Ledger with MetaMask later.
Coin support is crucial
This is a very important thing to consider. For example, if you want to use a hardware wallet that will allow you to use the official Avalanche wallet (where you can delegate and validate), the only hardware wallet currently supported is the Ledger.
If you want to use your hardware wallet with Vechain and their official wallet, once again, the Ledger is the one and only option!
But, if you just want a hardware wallet that has great support for the most popular blockchains in general and storing your funds, then the Trezor is brilliant, and it is faster and easier to use with MetaMask (for example).
But, if you want to stake tokens directly in your wallet, then at times, SafePal is better, while at times, the Ledger is better... and TrustWallet is also a great option.
So the point here is that there is no hardware wallet that is the best... it all depends on how and where and with what coins you want to use it!
