Ledger wallet Nano S review - Vires in Numeris

So I've been using the Ledger wallet Nano S a week already and I thought why not share my opinion over it with the rest of the Steemit community.

I bought the wallet at a black friday sell and got 10 dollar discount or so, but usually it costs 69 to 80 $ depends on where you buy it. I bought it from Ledger's official website.

I got the wallet within 2-3 days (I guess because it was sent from France and I live in the Netherlands, but it worked good for me, delivery was insanely expensive something around 15 dollars) in a good wrapped box that includes the wallet itself, a usb cable and cards with info on how to start and one that had the space for writing the 24 word recovery phrase (my god, I hope I won't lose it) and more accessories.

Starting following the configuration process, pretty straightforward process, easy to understand. afterwards I've installed all of the apps I wanted, again pretty easy to find your way around. Bare in mind that if you wanna use the Bitcoin wallet app for example, you have to have it installed on your wallet and on your computer, otherwise it wouldn't work.

I had a small problem that the app didn't recognize that my wallet was connected but later figured out that it had to do with my OS (Linux users follow this)

Another thing to take into consideration is that in the settings of every app on your wallet, make sure that your browser support is set to "no", my computer apps didn't recognize the wallet as connected when it was set to "yes".

The score that I give the Ledger wallet is 7/10:

Pros:

• Safest ways to store your cryptocurrencies
• Easy to use (comparing to others)
• Fast configuration
• Small - fits everywhere easily (can be also a con, easy to lose)

Cons:

• Can store only 5 apps on the device (sucks if you wanna use it for more than 5 cryptocurrencies, you can uninstall and then install, not a big of a deal but still it sucks)

• 2 buttons that makes navigating around apps difficult, lot's of combos to go further or back

• Pretty pricey, but I get it you're taking advantage of the crypto-mania at the moment, this simple wallet should be the half of it's price
