The three branches of the Canadian, and US, government are the legislative, executive and judicial branches.
But, over a past decade or so the SJTO under the AG of the executive branch has been gobbling up all the tribunals away from the judicial branch of the Crown Courts. Now, how many hacktivistas know abut it?! Ha! I wrote about it years ago, still not a peep of objections. hmm. And that is why they call these Social Justice Tribunals -- quasi judicial -- since the judges are appointed by the AG's office and are not part of the rigorous training and, the main point of it, neutrality, since the AG, the Crown Prosecutor, is effectively the employer of the Judges, thus creating obvious conflict of interest.
Anyway, they started with the smaller tribunals, like veteran's affairs, environmental, workers, then moved in on the human rights tribunal, ltb landlord tenant board, and pretty much everything else, taking it all away from under the impartial judicial branch of the Crown Ontario, in this example, Courts into the quasijudicial system of kangaroo courts under the executive branch of the AG and the Cabinet of the day. Enough Said.
