Hobbies #3- Lakeside Lodge

in lego •  7 years ago  (edited)

My weekend finally came at 6pm on a Saturday! Had some relatives come over for dinner. Watched the newest episode of Grey's Anatomy. Caught up with some reading and replying comments on Steemit. Then it was Lego time with my wife. :)

Tonight we decided on something smaller. Lakeside Lodge was from the previous Lego Creator 3 in 1 series. The newest series just hit our stores recently.

So how do we 'play' together? I do the finding and she does the building. This model has quite a lot of brown blocks and against it was quite hard to spot against my brown table.

My wife mentioned that Lego has totally replaced Polly Pocket. Well, I, of course, didn't grow up with that but I remember buying 1 for my sister and I must admit the details on it was superb. My wife had an enviable collection herself. I must say Lego has put a lot of attention to details as well. My wife was even commenting "Do you have to take a photo of every cute thing?" 😆

Here's the final product! Well, if I can't be an engineer like @maxyong in real life, at least I get to build Lego buildings. 😛

The reason I switched to Lego Creator 3 in 1 is that I get to tear them down after I get bored looking at it and rebuild something else using the same set of blocks!

I think I need to pick up lego for my lost dreams too, perhaps this is fitting ;)

hahaha! you are a rockstar lah. RMD! or something like that. hehe

I love that little pan with fried egg/omelette in it! Hahahaa :D Creative, creative

they are geniuses those people working over there at Lego. I always need the instructions. hahaha! the fried egg/omelette also doubles as lotus/some flower on the lily pad when flipped over!

I, myself is also learning more about Lego stuffs from my students. I have two huge sets of Lego in my classroom and it is just amazing to see their imagination through those little tiny Legos.

Fried egg/omelette can be transformed to lotus on the lily pad?!?! That is so genius! xD

Lego is one of the toys that transcend generations. hahaha! your classroom is so cool! I wish I had those when I was studying. blog about your classroom if it's not too intruding. would love to see the setup and all! :)

Yeah, I am planning to do blog about my classroom soon. Still in the midst of setting some stuffs up. Hopefully soon enough! :)
