All things Lego - and NO MEGA BLOKS

in lego •  7 years ago

Lego has been around since the 1960s, and has turned into a multi-billion dollar sales empire. And every one of the pieces they have ever made are worth at least what you paid for them, even accounting for inflation. Original Lego sets that are factory sealed have appreciated in value at a greater rate than the overall stock market. There are ROI calculators out there that can help you determine the annual return of holding sealed new Lego.

Beyond factory-sealed sets are thousands of small internet sellers globally that sell everything from single bricks to instructions and individual minifigures. The demand for both new and used individual pieces has skyrocketed as websites and free design programs give Lego builders a way to calculate precisely the parts needed to build anything you can dream up.

Are you interested in the building (and buying)?

Are you interested in buying and selling? Margins are good but labour intensive, the goal should be $100 in sales for every $50 in cost.

Are you interested in collecting sets that have consistently outperformed the overall stock market?

Let me know - I can share my thoughts on all Lego topics :)
