Lego's are awesome. I've never owned that much Lego blocks that I could build something this big as in these photos. These were in the nearby shopping mall, Koskikeskus, some time ago.
Have you ever been dragged to a pile of Lego by a child "Help me with the instructions so I can build a robot!" and ended up, not just helping, but building the whole robot yourself or what ever you were supposed to help with because it suddenly comes more important to finish the robot than to help the child build it?
Yeah, I know. Cruel. :D
That's why I don't built with Lego anymore. I think Legos really are amazing, but I don't want to ruin yet another childs fun of building things themselves. Legos are addictive. Too addictive.
In reality Legos were a gateway to heavier addictions. Building things from different kind of blocks, parts, pieces and components. Saving everything because "It could be used again in in in... something! Anything and everything!"
Major part of those projects and thingy things have never seen the daylight. They exist only in my head. Some made it halfway. Half finished as I say, not half undone. And some portion of those projects are in use. Mended or renewed furniture, weird art projects on the shelves or in the closets. Some were recycled and some saw the garbage can lid closing on top of their weary timeline.
Oh this life! So many ideas, so little time.
