This weekend was a very enjoyable one. Saturday was Dusshera festival, along with my society friends we planned for a traditional evening. We selected one of the veg restaurants in town for dinner, which served authentic gujarati cuisine. My plan was to have Thali. A Thali is a meal platter with small portions of variety of dishes, which includes appetizers, main course, rice dishes, deserts, salads and pickle. One must go empty stomach if you want to enjoy this meal. Little of everything overall becomes too much. I was actually craving to have a Thali since some time and this was a good occasion to enjoy.
That's what a Thali looks like, but this is not complete, there is lots more to it which keeps getting served as we eat. I was super hungry so as soon as the first round got served I started with my meals and then I was too consumed in it and no time for pictures...hehe.
After the meals, we clicked some pictures and had a good fun evening.
Then yesterday was shopping day with my Son, next month is his birthday and this is our yearly ritual that we do, I take him for his birthday shopping. His girlfriend also accompanied us. It was nice she came, else I would have been super bored. We went to the city mall, where my son got busy shopping and me and his girlfriend got ourselves comfortable in a coffee shop at the mall.
As always I settled down with my herbal tea and she ordered a cappucino.
It was a good bonding time with her, we had long conversations and with some fun and laughter we ended the evening.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
is Thali a spicy dish? 🌸
