So I saw this last night with my mother.
Some really extraordinary stuff--an Austrian Jewish family tracked from 1899 to 1955.
A lesson in the pointlessness of assimilation in the face of Hitler's onslaught.
My only complaint is the element of self-pity in one of the 1955 survivors.
I'm related to and have encountered many over the years, and a point of pride for most is picking up whatever pieces were left and aggressively moving forward afterward.
