MUSE,BEMUSE,AMUSE.

Muse ,Bemuse and Amuse are confusing words which pose lots of problems for speakers of English.At any point in one's writing or speech one tends to interchange these words bringing about distortion of meaning sometimes.When we try to communicate our thoughts using words which are not appropriate, we tend to create a semantic or meaning shift.

1.Bemuse means to be suprised,bewildered or puzzled about something or a situation.It does not have the meaning of being entertained or being happy.
The word bemused can be used in a sentence as;
Kwame was bemused by the sudden news of his father's death.
In this case you have communicated the correct idea of being suprised or stunned

2.Amuse on the other hand means to entertain.It can be used in a sentence as;
They amuse me these days

3.Muse also means to have a deep or sober reflection on something.It is more of a reflective thought.For instance;
I muse over his departure everyday
Here,the speaker intends to say he thinks or reflects on someone's departure.
