I remember watching those old Lethal Weapon movies back when I was a teenager and I had a great time doing so. Mel Gibson was awesome in his role as Riggs, and when I discovered a few years ago that Fox was about to create a brand new Lethal Weapon series, my greatest worry was whether or not they would be able to make the Riggs character as good as he was in the movies.
But, do you know what? To my greatest surprise, they did, in fact, manage to make Riggs great again in the Lethal Weapon series, and that is why I enjoyed it so much. I binged myself through the first season, but somehow, I got stuck somewhere in the second season. That might not be fortunate, but luckily, I know that I have something to keep on watching if I ever get a spare hour sometime in which I do not have anything else to watch.
There is, however, something that makes me a bit worried, because I have a feeling that the Riggs character as we know him disappears from the show after the second season. I am not sure if this is really true, or if I have just been tricked by some pictures that I have seen, but if that would be the truth, I am getting worried again. It isn't easy to replace a crazy guy like Riggs, and that must be one of the greatest dangers of the series so far, if it actually happened.
Anyone out there who has actually seen the third season of Lethal Weapon yet? Can you confirm whether or not Riggs has actually left the show or at least tell me what has happened?
