Visual perception is exhausted! People want to talk with the Internet: listen to it, ask for information. To make audio content truly ubiquitous we create LetItPlay – audio layer of the Internet.
On October 24 we rolled out a web widget LetitPlay. Embeddable onto any web page, LeItPlay web widget is an audio player for listening to audio content such as podcasts, articles and radio broadcasts. Widget was successfully tested on a number of key websites. For example, you can listen to the content of articles posted on Maugry blog while doing your routines!

Technically, the web widget is a HTML code snippet (iframe) inserted into a site code. Any content provider can add the widget to his website and give users an opportunity to listen to an audio version of the content. This will attract an influx of new users who have trouble seeing or reading due to some impairment and those who give preference to listening.
We are now testing the web widget that simply allows playing an audio track. But other improvements are underway. After successful testing the users will be able to adjust playback speed, volume or post an audio track on social networks, and so on. Likes and comments statistics will be also displayed in the web widget as soon as these features are implemented in the mobile application.
