Bánh mỳ Yến Bee makes an awesome bánh mỳ. They are away from the touristy parts of Hanoi, but it's definitely worth a visit. For 28,000 VND ($1.21 USD) you get a filling, tasty sandwich.
The Bánh Mỳ Thập Cẩm Yến Bee is a crusty French bread filled with char siu pork, sliced pork, and a big slather of pâté. They really give you a generous portion of pâté. The bánh mỳ goes in a toaster oven for a quick warm up before it's filled with cilantro and a creamy cabbage, carrot slaw. Oh my! The pâté is livery, but not too livery, and it goes well with the rest of the ingredients.
If you are in Hanoi, travel a little further south of Hoan Kiem Lake and grab one of Hanoi's best bánh mỳ. The restaurant is bright, clean, and they take really good care of you.
