Tonight, the bonfire got rained out...so different people brought chilly (a couple that moved up from New Orleans a couple of months ago brought gumbo and rice https://www.bing.com/search?q=gumbo&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&pq=gumbo&sc=9-5&sk=&cvid=C73771D831354C5E9ACE68F69F1F9AB1. I did not eat a hot dog. But afterwards I picked up 3 oatmeal and rasin cookies I bit into the cookie and discovered that some wise guy baked pecans into the cookies. Normaly I do not like nuts in my food (they can go on top of my salad, and I will eat them by thereselves) But I had two decent cookies on my plate, and a half eate one in my hand, so I ate them.
The meal started at 5:30 but the people there are like my family and it is a privlige for me to be able to serve them so I showed up at about 4:20 to dustmop the floor, before I went I was able to go to the store and pick up koolaid bursts, I bought a red pack and a blue pack (I think the kids enjoyed them!)
People try to share extra food stuff that they grew. I got cumbers, some people taught me how to make refrigerator pickels. so I did. I also got squash and zuchinni (also okra, and I asked for a guy to give me some okra that had already gone to seed...so I could plant the seeds next year) A couple brought in some apples that they got off two of there trees. So I made me some apple sause, and I made them a jar of apple sause. Sort of as a joke wrote how I made the apple sauce. The list read (about) 10 cored apples, about a teaspoon of cinnamon, and about a tablespoon of honey, and my special ingredient Love. :) I asked he lady today how she liked the apple sauce, and she said that it was good, and what made it realy good was that little bit of Love that I put in there!
I rayed for you today, so I hope that you got all of your marbels straitened out ;)
