There are many benefits to be had by aligning with your personal rhythms and establishing vibratory resonance with specific frequencies you desire to absorb or emanate. This practice is called energy work or energy therapy.
Today I would like to discuss how energy work can improve our day (and LIFE!)
Let us begin from the ground up - Muladhara
The Muladhara (Root Chakra) is the energy center located at the base of our spine. This chakra is associated with our reproductive organs and governs feelings of safety, security and survival. This is the vortex in which our Kundalini is stored/coiled up and the reserve we tap into during fight or flight situations.
Blockages in this area
may result in bottled up anger, frustration, outrage, depression, uncertainty, inability to focus, excessive fear and/or hesitation (among other symptoms).
Cleansing & Balancing our Muladhara
offers us clearer perception, improved ability to focus, make decisions and take decisive action. It also enables us to see and feel the ways in which we are inherently supported by the Universe, trusting that our Soul is completely safe during all the trials and tribulations this life puts us through.
Imbalances that manifest in ways like feeling scattered, experiencing things like lack of focus, mental fog, lethargy, and the like, can be treated & alleviated easily.
It serves us well to become aware of our natural rhythms - when are we typically vibrant, on point & rearing to go? Alternatively, when is our body unwinding and looking to relax? You might find it helpful to keep track of your ebbs and flows in a journal. I have been lax in doing so and have noticed slippage in my routines & progress. That being said, I am allowing this post to serve as a signal to my conscious & subconscious mind that recognize I dozed off - I am now awake and I am taking charge of the ship from here on out.
By pinpointing & familiarizing ourselves with these times we can ride the waves to another shore so to speak. For example, when our energy is at it's highest we can make the most of those windows of opportunity. Get our housework done, learn something new, go for a walk or whatever fits best into our schedule & passions. Likewise when our energy is dipping we should give ourselves time and space to take it easy. (I realize we can't just stop and take a nap when our body insists - especially when we're 'on the clock' - and for times like those, there are extra measures we can take to maintain or enhance our energy as needed.
Personal Experience
For me, my internal clock has been going through some changes recently. I used to be more of a nocturnal person, but over the course of the past month or two I have noticed this shifting to my becoming more of a (super early) morning person. I have been waking up with abundant energy that I need to burn off. On the other hand, I have been getting tired earlier in the evening and often at work.
Solutions
It's interesting to me to observe transformations within myself and I have begun getting creative in the ways I enhance, maintain and direct my life force.
During the mornings I have been using the space to meditate, do laundry, garden, doodle, research and in general just kinda follow where my heart is leading me.
To help keep my energy stable at work I have been carrying tourmaline & quartz with good effects. I have also been wearing a carnelian bracelet that @thereikiforest made for me :)
I have found that I am able to keep focused through my shifts and as I continue to transition my habits I am maintaining an upbeat & optimistic attitude. People around me have even commented that 'somethings different' about me but they can't quite put a finger on it.
Additional Tips
1 Wearing the color red stimulates your root chakra, giving it a kickstart & maintaining the spin
2 Eating things like strawberries, cherries, red bliss potatoes, red onions, red grapes, etc helps to cleanse your muladhara
3 Chanting the seed mantra 'Lam' will activate & assist in regulating the flow of energy from/through this center
4 Walking/Hiking/Biking and Earthing (kissing the earth with your hands and/or feet) are all great ways to ground our energy & strengthen our foundation
5 Grow something from seed/Gardening will deepen our connection to the earth, each other & all of life
