No doubt there would still be drifters who want to be nomadic. I see them on the side of the highway and know who they are. My point is that there would be practically no fiscal barriers to having a home for working age adults.

A lot of the people we feed have zero trust in the government. If they offered a free house, many would refuse; due to fear what would be the next step if they accepted.
We have the ability, but not the trust!
I came up with a design for a solution to a problem DARPA has been working on for over a decade. It is elegant, but I realized that I don't trust them, to not use it on US citizens. So the design remains in my head only....
