I'm not a feminist, but this smacks of paternalism and misogyny. Are 18-year old women so stupid/immature/weak that they can't decide what they want for their own bodies? If so, I guess they probably shouldn't be allowed to sign contracts, or drive, or make pornos, or get married either. And how can we be sure they'll have grown up enough in just 3 years to make these kind of important decisions? Maybe it would be better if we went back to the good ol days where the father decided everything until the husband took over. Or, if that doesn't sound fair, I suppose we could always just let the well-intentioned politicians make all the decisions, for all of us, all of the time. To keep us safe.
