Bible reading: He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives.

The Gospel of Luke tells us the fulfillment of a prophecy of the prophet Isaiah (Book of Isaiah 61:1-2) during the life of Jesus, the Kingdom of God has a deep spiritual meaning, the Kingdom is the rehabilitation of the oppressed, this is why the gospels are "the good news":
"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because he has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed", Luke 4:18.

With these prophecies, 5 beatitudes or promises of the Kingdom are announced (The Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:1-8 and Luke 6:20-26): consoling the poor, giving hope to the hopeless, giving freedom to those persecuted by justice, giving sight to the blind of heart, rehabilitating the oppressed.
Oppression is not only political or economic, oppression is also a cultural and educational problem, in other words, the "business of ignorance". When religions are emptied of wisdom and become rigid norms of conduct about what is allowed and what is prohibited, that is where we enter the opposite of the Kingdom of God. Jesus denounces the Doctors of the Law, for reducing the common people to ignorance and delusion: "Woe to you experts in the Law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering", Luke 11:52.
Wisdom is the perfect science, wisdom is the knowledge of the correct means to live, Jesus calls it the key to science. Wisdom is the science that allows us to be precise and accurate, that is, to proceed correctly in life. We enter the Kingdom of God through the science of wisdom. Applied wisdom is the science that rehabilitates societies from their crises, the Kingdom of God offers us freedom in all its forms, and one in particular: living the gifts, seeking the correct and the best.
