Recently a Czech newspaper ran a story of a guy who used EU funds to open a brothel. Here it is (in Czech). The funds were grunted in the EU rural development framework. EU doesn't think that brothels are good for rural development and wants its money back.
Now we've learned that Romanian government uses EU funds to build a mass surveillance program (you can read about it here, in English). This time EU seems to be pretty happy about it.
Brothel is a much better use of our tax money than mass surveillance. Something is clearly wrong with EU funds distribution. We should re-evaluate it or probably simply close down all EU grants programs
