Net Neutrality? Really?

The more I look at "net neutrality" the more I think it is government double-speak for the end of free speech. Does the US Department of Defense defend anything, or does it make war? The net has changed for the worse since so-called net neutrality was passed. Google now robs youtubers and silences any type of alternative information. Facistbook makes all kinds of social experiments with their product: human emotions. The NSA ans CIA can freely spy on any US citizen with the rubber stamp of some kangaroo court. Seeing people protest for "net neutrality" makes me wonder what kind of government they are looking at. It has done zero good in the years we have had it. I hate to be the one to break the news to you but the government does not like the internet because of free speech and you might be fighting for centralization, not freedom. This is like calling the "patriot act" the "patriot act." I cannot believe people are falling for it.

Net neutrality was a way to spread socialism via the internet constraints ;)

This is both true and icky. Most icky things are sadly also true.....

When was there ever such a thing as free speech?

In the US from about 1950 until 1971. You could express most opinions and ideas from the end of the red scare until the big banks seized complete control. The literature of the time is no longer even allowed in schools. It might not have been an era of true 'free speech' but it was much closer than it is here today.
