Hello fellow Steemians
I just wanted to share with you what I believe to be the speech above all speeches. This monologue was portrayed by Charlie Chaplin in the movie, "The Great Dictator". I am sure many of you have heard it but for those who haven't I hope that it has the same effect on you that it had on me.
I often find myself listening to this speech over and over again whenever I am feeling sad, depressed, powerless and disgraced by the transgressions of humanity. The speech inspires hope in me. Hope that not all of humanity is lost to greed, oppression, pride, war, and destruction. It reminded me that there is goodness in the world and in people. It also taught me that no matter how bad things may get around us, that we should always fight and hope that things can be better if we each strive for more than mediocrity.
Anyway, I hope that you can be inspired as well!
Here it is
La conférence se déroule dans un lieu magnifique, un 19ème siècle Tango théâtre tard. Vous voyez la richesse d'une époque où l'Argentine a été l'un des pays les plus riches du monde, avant que les politiciens socialistes ont ruiné son économie.
