The FLOSS project Libreboot recently decided to join the efforts of increasing the pressure on the CPU manufacturer AMD. Libreboot along with other players of the FLOSS community now calls on AMD to release the source code and specification of its new CPU generation Ryzen in order to allow for projects such as Coreboot and Libreboot to create free and libre replacements of all currently hard-wired proprietary parts in AMD's new CPU generation. The project put a website online describing many ways to interact with AMD.

I couldn't write it better than the Libreboot project itself and thus won't even attempt it. Please read Libreboot's call of action to find out more about how you can help to keep up the pressure on AMD to release their specifications to the public. Thank you for taking action!

//edit: I just found a pretty well written e-mail draft which can be used if you want to contact AMD directly.

//edit2: Are you still wondering why FLOSS is so important? Wikileaks showed us again today.
