Are STEEMIT/DTUBE the platforms for me???

in lide •  7 years ago  (edited)

I have been on steemit/DTUBE for maybe a month and every time i upload a video i get maybe 2-3 likes and have made less Than $2 in total..when i click on ''HOT'' or ''TRENDING'' i see the most popular videos are all about crypto currency, how to use steemit, how to use dtube ect...so am I on the wrong platform? I left youtube because of their policy contradictions and heard such great things about steemit. But IS THIS THE WRONG SITE FOR ME???? I understand consistency, having regular uploads, proper tagging and whats current ect ( i made up to $300 on youtube in less than a year). Thanks for any advice.

You heard you are going to make money at steemit?

You need to work at getting your rep up to over 50...60 would be better, and have at least $500 to 1,000 in your steempower (SP). By then you'll have a following and earn more. For now, you have no one to back you as you are an unknown. If you are here only for the money, you should search for other ways to earn it. Here you must check posts by others, make a 'real' comment so that they know you did look at it...as I am doing with you. Some of them will follow you and your sphere of influence grows...

Alas, many have realised they can earn more by posting about crypto and so on.

I find it interesting that you used the #introduceyourself tag, but said nothing about what kind of videos you upload; do you get them from yt or do you make them yourself...and so on. So, all we have is an unhappy poster who does not think of grabbing the opportunity to maybe make a few extra friends - followers, and nobody is any the wiser as to why we should look out for your posts.

In other words, don't just blame steemit; examine how efficient your promotion of your posts are and how you are responding to being in /on a platform that is mainly meant to be a community where we get rewarded for attracting people to our posts.
