The Mind, ExplainedsteemCreated with Sketch.

The mind is the most important component of communication skills.

You may be focusing on the body language, your clothes, how to crack jokes etc.

But none of that matters if you have a tangled mind.

Or worse, if you are not aware that you have a tangled mind.

A few years ago, I decided to make meditation a part of my day to day activity.

But I was doing it wrong.

I would meditate for 10-15 minutes, give myself a pat on the back & indulge in nonsense.

I watched random tv shows.

Read books without purpose.

Refreshed social media left & right.

As a young 20 year old, I had no clue I was fuckin up.

I thought the 10-15 minutes of meditation would outweigh all the bad acts.

But no.

I was ill informed.

I was someone who has creating a tangled mind & had no clue.

Why do so many people have a tangled mind?

It's because they can't see the mind.

And when you can't see something, you just wing it.

It's like a 3 year old coming to you & asking if you want to have tea with her imaginary best friend, Lily.

You don't want to hurt this 3 year old's feelings, so you say agree.

Then the 3 year old insists you have a convo with her best friend while having tea.

Confused, you ask Lily question.

And await a response...

The 3 year old says 'Give Lily some time, she is thinking.'

You sit there puzzled, not knowing what to do next.

Why?

Because you can't see Lily, you just rely on guesswork.

The reason we have guesswork regarding the mind is because:

  1. We can't see it.
  2. We don't study it.

1 often causes 2.

And I can't blame people who don't study it.

I recently wanted to check out a video on mindset on YouTube & I was hit with a bunch of 'experts' talking in circles.

Waste of my time.

I created a blog post today where I simplify the mind.

  1. Sense of self: where you are & where you want to go.

  2. Conscious mind: intellect & imagination.

  3. Subconscious mind: information & energy database.

That's it.

Learn these 3 & follow the framework I provided in the blog post to clarify your mind & work towards a goal.

In school, you were taught just how to memorize without purpose.

For my method, I teach you how to:

  1. Identify your sense of self.

  2. Use intellect & imagination to execute & shift your paradigm.

  3. Use the renewed paradigm to fuel creative thoughts.
