The Road saves millions of lives.

For more than eight hundred days, a city is militarily blocked. There is no food, people are being killed around severe winter. The city of 10 million people in the crowded city has already fallen out. Hitler's Nazi army, in the same way as the Second World War of Lelyngrad (now St. Petersburg) of the Soviet Union, was stalled. On September 8, 1941, Hitler's forces decided to siege as much as possible from four sides without directly attacking Lelyngrad. But the war started out of the city.

By the end of September 1941, there was a tension in the supply of oil and coal in the city. The more winter goes ahead, the more problems the residents face. The city's central heating supply system is broken. After the water pipe, the water supply system in the entire city became stagnant within a few days.

The people of Lelyngrad have been fighting till the end of the capacity. But they were stunned all over the country to fight against starvation and severe winter and they were stunned to the Nazis. Due to the closure of all types of connections with the entire Soviet Union, people became crazy due to hunger every day. State food and daily necessities supply one third each.

So you have to build the roadway. There is no alternative to this road to save the lives of millions of people in Leningrad.

There is no nation near the Russians to build roads on ice. But the challenge is a little more. Under the ice, the death of sure death, on top of the Hitler Force's plane, the entire road will foil a single bomb at any time. But if you are sitting in this fear it will not work.

On 3 November 1941, the meeting of the Leninagad Military Council decided that roads should be constructed 20 to 30 miles on the lake lake at any cost. In the cold winter, people will have to remove the common people from the city by using the whole ice of the lake. This road is named after Military Road No. 101, but the road to life becomes the road to ordinary people. The people of Leninagad named the road 'Road of Life'.

But the fractured ice and the bombs coming out of the air for a moment, make this road unusable. Frequently the road has to change. This road is also used to move residents away. As well as heavy trucks and military cars, the common man went out with their horses to find a safe destination.

As a result, this road is made up of people's long lines of fate. The common people took responsibility for the traffic control of the road. Many women stand beside the army. Even women truck drivers were recruited to get goods inside the city.

But many cars and horses could not rise on ice for a lot of speed. So the army decided to build some other alternative roads of Ladooga lake. So by examining the thickness of ice in various places in the lake, statistics were made by the Soviet Army's Meteorological Department. In the places where the construction of alternative roads were started, the whole of the ice was fully completed.

Lenninggraad's people need about one thousand tons of essentials of food, drinks, kerosene, and essential commodities. Everyday 600 to 700 tons of supplies are available on the road of life of Road of Life. Drivers are being hunted by cars, one after another accident. This road of life was not being used just to remove ordinary people, as well as using the road to attack the German forces. So the railway line was constructed on the street land to strengthen the military.

More than one million people lost their lives in the German invasion of 872 days. Most of them died due to lack of food in extreme cold. This Road of Life, built on the Lake Lagoa, has saved lives of approximately 15 million people. 15 million tons of food has reached home from the house of Leninagrada, because of this road.
