Where does your steam come from & where does your Steem go?

Where do your steem dollars go?  Where does your "steam" come from?

For me, it's pretty simple.

My 13 year old girl, pictured above from a couple years ago.

She is my motivation/inspiration and every Steem Dollar I earn here, I withdraw immediately for a very important reason.

I'm fighting for full custody of this rad kid.  And every single Steem Dollar I withdraw is going toward legal fees and other associated costs in doing this case, including therapy for her healing.

Sometimes I am not very present here.  That's why.  I'm off helping her, being a dad...in other words spending quality time with her, playing, talking, watching YouTube together...normal 13 year old stuff...or cooking, cleaning, ya know..that home maker type stuff.  Or running my business, writing poetry, etc..

Every dollar, every word I strive to hit some whalish reward, I do for my girl.

What about you?  What drives you to post and hope and strive?

Nice post @abarefootpoet. That is what I like about networks like steemit, a place where people can work on their own time and from anyone.

Thanks! So true. I love that I get to share my art freely with others...they get to feel something immediately and I get to help my family immediately. It's a nice trade and feels good. :)

I love your work. Good luck for your daughter. Upvoted

Thank you! I appreciate the well wish and the love on my art. Namaste <3

A fathers relationship with his daughter will effect her life through out. I am sorry to hear you are dealing with custody issues, I feel that only the lawyers win when it comes to this kind of family conflict. Keep your daughter close to your heart, her life will be blessed by that certainty of place from you. Blessings, oc

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful words. I agree, in this particular case winning custody will be a "win" of sorts for my daughter too...but I wish she didn't have to go through any of it, strange how we enter a world we have no control over, parents who are complete strangers to us...sort of...and as tiny powerless humans we just have to get jerked around by their choices, good or bad. Again, thank you for your kindness and blessings. Namaste <3

I have a grown son who suffered a traumatic brain injury 5 years ago. While he has done remarkably well considering the severity of his injury, you never really recover. There are always medical expenses, co-pays and deductibles for MRI scans, post brain injury therapy, etc. I find myself in the position of being all he has while he tries to get back to his life so any spare funds I get will go toward that, although I'm new here and still learning how it all works. Good luck with your daughter. It sounds like you are making her a priority in your life.

<3 <3 wow, thank you for sharing. I found it hard to be vulnerable about my situation and it's good to hear others like this. Sending you positive vibes as you journey through parental love and healing. Namaste.

Thank you :)

I keep Steem dollars, power down and buy Steem dollars but will convert back to Steem power one the liquid Steem hits 10 percent of supply. See @hisnameisollie for why. https://steemit.com/@hisnameisolllie
