The economic activity of Gampong Teupin Jok of Nibong sub-district is based on agriculture sector, where the majority of people with activities as farmers working on the rice fields in accordance with the geographical conditions of Gampong which is suitable for rice fields, with rice fields reaching 80 hectares more contribute significantly to the Gampong economy.

As the data obtained by the author that the inhabitants of Gampong Teupin Jok Kecamatan Nibong have various livelihoods ranging from laborers, builders, farmers, traders, employees, and so forth. The economic condition of the Gampong Teupin Jok community is generally relatively underprivileged.

Generally based on the observation of the writer of the social condition of the Gampong Teupin Jok community in the internal order of Gampong is quite good where the sense of brotherhood and friendship between citizens is always awake. This is evidenced by a sense of brotherhood and togetherness among the people who are high enough, and the majority of people follow well the various activities in Gampong, for example gotong royong which is held every Friday by the community gampong, weddings, and others

Assets Treasure Wakaf Gampong Teupin Jok

Based on the results of interviews with the author Imum Gampong, until the end of 2014 when the authors interviewed Imum Gampong, the total assets of property belonging to Gampong Teupin Jok only six plots of rice fields and gardens both located in the Gampong Teupin Jok area, as for the details are as follows:

1. Wakaf land from H. Juned is a rice field located in Gampong Teupin Jok Kecamatan Nibong with a total area of ​​2,500. M2 is adjacent to Tgk Abdurrahman land south, north with Rusli land to the west with Banta Ali land and the east with Gampong Teupin Jok Street.

2. Wakaf land from Tgk. H. Hussein in the form of oil palm plantation located in Gampong Teupin Jok with a total area of ​​3,500 M2 bordered by the land of Ibrahim to the south, north with Tgk land. Muhammad to the west with the land of Nurdin and the east with Tgk land. Hasan.

3. Wakaf land from Cut Salamah in the form of rice field located in Gampong Teupin Jok with the total area of ​​1.232 M2 is bordered by Tgk land. Sulaiman the south, the north with the land of Fatimah to the west with the land of Husen and the east with Ismail land.

4. Wakaf land from Tgk. Yusuf is a rice field located in Gampong Teupin Jok with a total area of ​​1,503 M2 adjacent to the southern Rubiah land, north with Rusli land to the west with Syakbi land and the east with Gampong Teupin Jok road.

5. Wakaf land from Exxon Mobil CSR funds in the form of paddy field located in Gampong Teupin Jok with a total area of ​​1,600 M2 adjacent to Mansur land south, north with Tgk land. Zakaria to the west with Ridwan land and the east with the land of Zulfikar.

Based on the explanation of Imum Gampong Teupin Jok, the entire wakaf land has the Deed of Pledge of Wakaf (AIW) issued by the Head of Religious Affairs Office of Nibong Subdistrict as the Officer of Pledge of Waq Deed (PPAIW), for further handling of wakaf land certificate issued by the Land Agency National (BPN) of North Aceh Regency. In addition to wakaf property in the form of land both rice and garden land, Gampong Teupin Jok also has two kiosk units which are also assets of Gampong purchased from the existing wakaf land.

Keadaan Ekonomi, Sosial dan Budaya Masyarakat

Kegiatan perekonomian Gampong Teupin Jok
Kecamatan Nibong bertumpu pada sektor pertanian, dimana mayoritas masyarakat dengan beraktivitas sebagai petani yang menggarap sawah sesuai dengan kondisi geografis Gampong yang merupakan daerah yang cocok untuk persawahan, dengan luas sawah mencapai 80 hektar lebih memberi kontribusi yang besar bagi perekonomian Gampong.

Sebagaimana data yang diperoleh penulis bahwa sebenarnya penduduk Gampong Teupin Jok Kecamatan Nibong mempunyai berbagai mata pencaharian mulai dari buruh, tukang bangunan, petani, pedagang, pegawai, dan sebagainya. Keadaan ekonomi masyarakat Gampong Teupin Jok secara umum tergolong kurang mampu.

Secara umum berdasarkan pengamatan penulis kondisi sosial masyarakat Gampong Teupin Jok dalam tatanan internal Gampong cukup baik yang mana rasa persaudaraan dan silaturahmi antar warga selalu terjaga. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rasa persaudaraan dan kebersamaan antar warga yang cukup tinggi, dan mayoritas warga mengikuti dengan baik berbagai kegiatan yang ada di Gampong, misalnya gotong royong yang dilaksanakan setiap jum’at oleh masyarakat gampong, pesta perkawinan, dan lain-lain

Aset Harta Wakaf Gampong Teupin Jok

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara penulis dengan Imum Gampong, sampai akhir 2014 ketika penulis mewawancarai Imum Gampong, jumlah keseluruhan aset harta wakaf milik Gampong Teupin Jok hanya berjumlah enam petak yang berupa tanah sawah dan kebun baik berada di wilayah Gampong Teupin Jok, adapun rinciannya adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Tanah wakaf dari H. Juned berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Teupin Jok Kecamatan Nibong dengan luas keseluruhan 2.500. M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Tgk Abdurrahman sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Rusli sebelah barat dengan tanah Banta Ali dan sebelah timur dengan Jalan Gampong Teupin Jok.

2. Tanah wakaf dari Tgk. H. Husein berupa kebun kelapa sawit yang terletak di Gampong Teupin Jok dengan luas keseluruhan 3.500 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Ibrahim sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Tgk. Muhammad sebelah barat dengan tanah Nurdin dan sebelah timur dengan tanah Tgk. Hasan.

3. Tanah wakaf dari Cut Salamah berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Teupin Jok dengan luas keseluruhan 1.232 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Tgk. Sulaiman sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Fatimah sebelah barat dengan tanah Husen dan sebelah timur dengan tanah Ismail.

4. Tanah wakaf dari Tgk. Yusuf berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Teupin Jok dengan luas keseluruhan 1.503 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Rubiah sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Rusli sebelah barat dengan tanah Syakbi dan sebelah timur dengan jalan Gampong Teupin Jok.

5. Tanah wakaf dari dana bantuan CSR Exxon Mobil berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Teupin Jok dengan luas keseluruhan 1.600 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Mansur sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Tgk. Zakaria sebelah barat dengan tanah Ridwan dan sebelah timur dengan tanah Zulfikar.

Berdasarkan penjelasan Imum Gampong Teupin Jok, keseluruhan tanah wakaf tersebut telah memilki Akta Ikrar Wakaf (AIW) yang dikeluarkan oleh Kepala Kantor Urusan Agama Kecamatan Nibong selaku Pejabat Pembuat Akta Ikrar Wakaf (PPAIW), untuk selanjutnya dilkukan pengurusan sertifikat tanah wakaf yang dikeluarkan oleh Badan Pertanahan Nasional (BPN) Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Selain harta wakaf berupa tanah baik tanah sawah dan kebun, Gampong Teupin Jok juga memiliki dua unit kios yang juga merupakan aset Gampong yang dibeli dari hasil tanah wakaf yang sudah ada.
