Quest for God

The mankind by nature search for stability in every aspect of their lives. Majority of people believe that religion is essential and important as it way of knowing god and keep human stable, while the other minority argues that the god is not exist and the religion is an invention of human. This paper aims to examine these arguments by analyzing: who is god? And how the religion facilitate studying god?

The methodology comes to clear the ambiguity between these thoughts and to link ideas as possible as it can, despite it faces multi barriers and challenges especially when it would to explain something belongs to belief and thoughts, but it’s not impossible, to deal with such of these thorny issues, where the believes in common are related to privacy and the privacy are restricted and respected also the methodology in some cases needs more hypothesis, arguments and proofs. Also to examine that it needs more and more of time, which makes it more complicated, sensitive and sometimes disabled.

The most known issue in Islam that methodology stopped without an explanation for is the majority issue. Every day they ask the same questions about god such as ; what the form of God? Who is God? Who create God? What God looks like? Where is God? How, where and when we can see the God? How we could be sure that the God is real? Is it one God or multi? Why do we need God? Does it work without God? What is the form of life without God? When God starts and when it finish? Is God big or small, is God short or tall? Also there are millions of question about this issue without answers related to any kind of science, it’s not a practical science like physics or mathematics as if somebody got answers, then there is no way to proof or judge that also it’s something does not accept tests, but when somebody asks such of these questions to the scholars to get an answer they will answer him according to their believes and their doctrines not according to science or methodology.

Even The theologians of Islam claimed that theology gives a justification of religion; despite they rely on the book of Allah (the holly Qura’an), which is primary source for them all and is protected from ALLAH as it’s spreader around the world in different languages and in millions of millions of copies but it has the same specific words without any addition or ellipses but they have different opinions in the same issue, every one of them understands and interprets the text according to his understanding.

While it’s said in the holly Qura’an “There is nothing like unto Him and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing” 1. The Muslims still believes that there is no god but Allah without any kind of imagine, how he looks like, but they rely on the text itself to study Allah as they use methodology and scientific approaches to understand Allah according to his speeches, adjectives, miracles and his creatures, for that Allah encourages the humans in Qura’an to look carefully and search in their life.

The quest for god according to methodology is to look in everything that God created, such as to look how the human crafted, so the methodology led to ask millions of questions like ; who created this human ,when ,why and for what ,which needs more studying and researching in every part of this human also Allah himself at initial of life encourages humans to seek ,examine and explore god that was before Islam when Abraham used methodology for realizing and observing god ,when he calls moon as god then he calls sun and finally find the truth 2, and another time when he broke the gods of his father then he challenged his father to prove that they were a real gods 3.

I think that Genius who thrives in finding his god by thinking, exploring, investigating and examining is stable in his life more than who choose religion according to his family or his governor, and always don’t look for full agreement especially in case of thought and believes even if you are Muslims. Every human should rely on scientific methods to choose his religion away from any priory knowledge. the truth doesn’t need a lot of struggle to find.
