Anencephaly is a cephalic disorder resulting from a neurological defect.
It occurs during embryonic development, usually between 23 and 26 days after conception and affects the development of the baby's head.
Babies born with Anencephaly are usually blind, deaf and unaware of their surroundings.
There is no cure or treatment for this condition.
Most babies do not survive and those who succeed are usually dying within a few hours or a few days after the heart stops.
