With Chinese New Year just around the corner, many Singaporeans are getting busy buying Chinese New Year decorations, to put up at home, to create a festive atmosphere.
Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring festival is celebrated at the beginning of the new moon. It is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar. This year we are going to celebrate Chinese New Year- Year of the dog.
For every chinese, it is an auspicious day for everyonw and cheerful greetings are exchanged to bring in good luck and fortune.
my favorite place to check these Chinese New Year decorations is at outdoor pop-up stores, pop up in bus interchanges, pasar malams ( night market) and other small stores here in Singapore. Head into one and check out for some great deals.
