Equilibrium is the key to me

After years of research to find answers to life’s most fundamental questions, I still feel helpless at times of dealing with loss.
My passion for research, seeking of knowledge and understanding was ignited when my daughter and two of her friends were involved in a major car accident back in August of 2002. I had bought a book on comparative religion and decided to read it as I set by my daughters side in the ICU for the week after her accident. Life throws us many curve balls as we navigate our way through space and time on this journey we all share.
I will never forget the feeling of helplessness that came over me when I got the call that my daughter was being medavacted to a local trauma canter, a feeling I would not wish on anyone ever.
Those days we spent in the ICU changed my view of life forever, for that I am thankful.
After my daughters recovery I continued applying the lessons I was learning to everyday life and challenges that always seem to arise. In the study of Buddhism I learned of the wisdom of seeking the middle path on our journey and incorporated that idea in all aspects of my life. As well I took up the habit of daily meditation and contemplation, which in and of itself eased many stresses in my life and helped me find new balance like I had never known before.
About five years back I came across the Trivium method of Logical reasoning and took in all the information I gather on it from as many perspectives as I could find.

Slowly the puzzle pieces all started falling into place and as I started implementing the Trivium method of logical reasoning (Grammer, Logic, and Rhetoric) in to my researching and problem solving methods, I began to see and understand both myself and the world in a much clearer light.
I am thankful for all the ups and downs I have encountered because they have helped me find myself, my purpose and my way to get to where I am today.
I now have a sense of “Equalibrium” within myself that has strengthened me to endure even when little hope seems to be present. It was the darkness of tragedy that brought me to light, and I very seldom find myself at such a sense of helplessness as I did back in the beginning of this aspect of my life’s journey.
