in life •  4 years ago

With the unaffordability for many not being able to own their own home, or for those that do own a home the running costs, the upkeep can be tremendous stress, living week to week or month to month just to keep their heads above water with bills.

Being drummed into us bigger is better, really is it?

Don't get me wrong having a big house was always a dream till you have a few kids, need to consistently clean up after them, the more space you have the more the idea is that we need to fill that space with materialist things that may only be used once or twice.

Fixing and maintaining a big house if you've ever watched the tv programs about people in England that have castles, mansions the expense to upkeep a family heirloom past down for generations that some are left in despair, some think outside the box by opening them up to the public for events, having cafes on-site just to help with offsetting some of those costs.
