You say no man can separate us, what about Mr Death?
That he will always do right by you; about a savior you never met.
To say the sky is blue, why not red?
Stories about a stabbed man who never bled.
Was it all lies?
That under no circumstances would you severe our ties
Telling me not to worry, there is nothing wrong
telling me to stand down, that this oppression won’t take long
Was it all lies?
Clamouring for a change that will never be,
For a new beginning that you never want to see,
that we die to live again?
that though we suffer, we won’t feel the pain.
If I were this, if I were that
I would have done this, I would have done that
Really?! Or was it all a lie.
It was said that what doesn’t make you, mar you
Will our one plus one always equal two?
If there is an iota of truth left; let it be told,
Even now, as our dramatic story unfolds.
We all are fated one way or the other,
Even in death; things arranged in order,
Was it the truth or just an additional lie?
Stories told by an unknown passerby.
If united we stand and divided we fall,
Why not stand united to conquer all?
Just a question to justify my thought,
Assuring ourselves of a better tomorrow;
and yet never ready to acknowledge faults?
Tell me, was it lies all along?
