Blue Whale Challenge - 'Online Sucide Cult': Russian mastermind arrested

The alleged mastermind behind Sinister social media blue whale was arrested by the police in Russia.

Ilya Sidorov, 26 years old, who is accused of inciting teens to self-harm and further kill themselves in the end of the twisted game named blue whale challenge which is said to be responsible for the death of more than 130 school children.

What is blue whale challenge?

It is a social media group, also can be said a Suicide Cult challenge which targets vulnerable youngsters.

The members then become part 50days series 'tasks' of this twisted game and which includes self-harming, watch horror films and sleep deprivation apparently aimed to damage their mental health.

On the 50th day of the challenge, teens are instructed to take their lives and commit suicide.

Story of a victim - 13year old girl from Yetul, Russia

The "game" basically targets children who are underage, as was a 13year old girl from Yetul who encouraged to kill herself. The girl was asked to complete series of tasks which set by the mastermind.
After completion tasks, the girl asked in a video interview- "What was the final task? How does the game end?"
He told - "To commit suicide."

According to the reports accused has fully admitted to his crimes and have to serve five years sentence.
