House shopping, fun or not fun?

On the one hand house hunting can be quite fun because you get to pick out your new place to call home.

You can get all the things you like best.

From granite counter tops, to 6 bedrooms, to a large acre lot with lots of grass.

You can match your heart's desire, considering it lands within your budget of course.

But what about the not so fun things?

You know like driving and looking at all the different houses, it can be time consuming to say the least.

Then there is the whole moving part, easily the worst part of all of it.

Then there is the finding the house in the right location for work for family for the kids.

Then there is the selling your old house part.

All in all it can lead to a very stressful time.

It is made easier now with sites like zillow and redfin allowing much of the shopping to be done online, but it still can be a chore.

All in all, what say you, do the pros outweigh the cons or should people just never move unless the absolutely have to?
