Dear mobile phone addict ... It's time to break up!

in life •  7 years ago

Many of us suffer from addiction of a new kind. It is your e-mail ... which is almost invisible to you, and you almost get a heart attack if you put your hand on your pocket and you can not find it. You have always been beside you in the time of boredom and your companion "on the sweet and the once", in short your mobile phone can be considered your favorite friend ... right? Even if you say no dear reader, stick it with your hands and your eyes now say the exact opposite.

I have already thought about this ... Am I addicted to using my phone? Is this addiction really true? The answer is yes if you try to deny!

Of the 7 billion people, about 6 billion have a mobile phone, which is a scary number indeed! So how does your mobile change your life, body, and way of thinking? The damage that our mothers talk about every day is real! And that we are also attached to our phones is real.

According to Moment, a time-tracking app of 5 million users, the average user spends about 4 hours a day interacting with his phone. No more than 16% of your day passes with your phone! So, in this article I will order with you on the treatment journey of mobile phone addiction.

Ask yourself, "What should I really care about?"

Application designers seek to get your attention in any way possible, and all those ads that appear in front of you are both annoying and interesting. Have you ever wondered why most social networking applications are free? In fact advertisers are the customers and the commodity they receive is your interest!

Change the way you think about your mobile phone

Most of us connect the use of the phone to enjoy the time, Silvie capture with friends, chat applications, electronic journals and many more, practically transferred your hobbies you can exercise in nature and air to the glass and metal in your hand! The time you spend with your phone is not a fun time.

Do not think about it on the basis of "How do I spend less time with my phone?" But make it "How do I spend more time in my real life?"

Psychologically prepared for success

Set yourself a goal and create incentives that will drive you to success. If you want to practice reading more, keep a book next to you! If you want to learn cooking, write a list of purchases to start cooking. Also, you do not have to rearrange your room to have the charging socket next to your bed, place your phone in another room and rely on a normal alarm clock to wake you up in the morning.

Create alarms

We often grab our phones only "to see what news there is for minutes," and then start switching to a zombie who spends half an hour browsing his accounts on the media media, and then enters an endless loop of browsing and switching between applications. In this case you can set a lock screen asking if you really want to open the phone? Or use an annoying phone cover for example, to alert you that you carry it for a long time.

Listen to your body

If you notice that you are in the middle of the "infinite browsing loop" ask yourself: Do you breathe correctly? Is your spine healthy? How do you feel psychologically? are you happy? Sad? Feeling numb? Do you really want to use your phone now? Do you really use it?

Whenever you ask yourself these questions you will find it inconvenient to keep the phone in your hand ... and it will be easier to change your behavior.

Exercise to disconnect from the phone

Remember that you and your phone are two separate people! Leave it at home while you go on a picnic with friends, hoping for nature rather than checking the email. You'll be surprised at first how much you are related to your phone, and how much you want to scan that message notification.

Take advantage of technology to protect yourself from technology

Use time-tracking applications such as Moment, Quality Time, or OFFTIME that shows you the time on the screen, and other more powerful applications such as Freedom and Flipd, which block applications and sites you want when you want to take a break.

There is a Forest: Stay focused application where you can plant a tree and set its growth period, the time you want to stay away from your phone. If you have completed the period you set, grow your tree and if you do not finish it will die! In the end you will have a beautiful garden or barren land!

Make it easy for you to see who is carrying your phone

Do you know that when someone yawn in a room, everyone around him starts yawning sequentially? Same with mobile phone ... When you see your friend holding his phone you will want to automatically scan your phone. Wait a moment before and remember that you do not want to be like him, you do not have to scan the phone, and use this catalyst in reverse to reach your goal.

Consider this separation as an existential issue!

Of course not, and repeat the question over and over again ... In the end you will see that all that matters is that you listen to every moment of your real life, It does not matter who went on a tourist trip or who started a new job on Social Media ... What really matters is every moment you live on the ground.

Remember that the phone is not part of you, and of course not your favorite friend!
