When we talk about culture, it's very much embedded in the traditional games that one culture has. Malaysians have a strong sense of community reflected in traditional games as well as their community activities. Indeed, they have a solid social spirit that is reflected in this traditional game. Some of the traditional games in that were played in their spare time are still active and well-known to date. In this modern world that full of technologies, our younger generations have drifted far from their roots. We should continue to teach our younger ones to uphold this treasure, the near forgotten traditional games. For if we do not care, there will be no more traditional games that will be remembered by our future generations. I missed those traditional games so much. In this modern world, technology cannot satisfy what traditional game can give us. Friendship bonding through the traditional games are priceless :D
Gasing
Gasing is another famous traditional game played in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, especially in Kelantan. There are various types of gasing in Malaysia such as heartstrings, plates or flat linings, filming rooms, egg yarns, swirling styles, Malay styles, Chinese styles, yarns and nut styles. Most children prefer to play with Malay and Chinese singles, because their size is small and easy to play. In addition to playing as a leisure and leisure time, the game is enlivened through a match between teams at the village, district and state levels. They are made of oval-shaped wood and have long nails. Gasing is a kind of gaming tool that can rotate on its axis, balancing at one point. It has been played since ancient times and is famous among the Malays. The objective of the game is usually to match the spin of time.
Tarik Upih
Tarik Upih is a children's game played by children in several ASEAN countries. Upih pinang is base of a pinang leaf. Normally when this blade is old, it will fall to the ground. When this fragment falls it is still useful. The palm leaves of the stems will then be used for the Tarik Upih game. This game must be played with two or more people. One must be a drawer and another sits on the leaves.

Permainan Wau
The word 'Wau' was derived from the Arabic letter 'Wau'. This game is also known as kite. The game is very much loved by the villagers. The game is played since the 15th century. Wau is still popular and played in areas like Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis. The kite game or it contains elements of indigenous Malay culture especially in the form of kite or wau itself. In Malaysia the kite games are usually done after the rice harvest or at the time the fishermen can not go to sea fishing. Among the kite types are Baruk Kite, Quail Kite, Bird Kite and the famous is Wau Moon. There are pantun linked with the kite:
Wau is created in various forms and has its own name such as wau burung, wau pari, wau frog, wau bayan, wau peacock, wau kucing, wau jala, wau kebaya kebaya, wau sewah and wau west. Likewise, the moon is very popular by the Malays. Typical patterned motifs will adorn most of the wau produced and colored with various colors. Besides being used as a gaming material, it is also a handicraft and wall decoration.
Baling Tin
The game of throwing tin was only introduced in the early 1950s and continued to be popular until the mid-1970s. In terms of practice, most of the Malay and Chinese societies were fond of playing it. The game requires skill, dexterity and wisdom to win a game. In addition, this game also requires close collaboration between players in a team.
Batu Seremban
Batu Seremban is also known as Batu Selambut or Serembat. This game likes to be played by girls played in groups, two or more people. Objects such as glass marbles, rubber seeds, large medium pebbles or other round-shaped objects are used in this game. Seremban rocks are often played at leisure in the porch of the house, in the house or wherever they want but it requires a flat floor surface. The player must also sit on the floor so it is easier to play. In the game of Batu Seremban, there are several levels or different ways of throwing the stones. The game will start with a simple first stage, where a stone is used, to a more difficult level or the top level is called the seven stones. Rollovers and victories are determined by who can weigh the most stones.
Congkak

Players who reach the finish line are counted as winners. While players who fall or fall out of the sack must start the game from the starting line.
Lawan Getah Pemadam
Main Tutup Botol
This game uses a carbonated beverage bottle lid. It uses 5 bottle caps. The game method is almost the same as the batu seremban. The game is to get the point through the weighing and direction of the bottle cap.

Yes right, nowadays children don't even like to go under the sun and mingles with their neighborhood buddies. They are focus only on their modern gadgets. I just wish we could teach them a little about history and then perhaps they may try to play it with their friends :D
