The question is, “Who are the happiest Americans?”
To find the answer to this question, National Geographic author Dan Buettner teams up with a group of social scientists to come up with an index that would make happiness measurable—in this way, they would be able to find out “where Americans are living their best lives.”
This study is based on 15 metrics that are supposed to be signs of happiness—they include civil engagement, financial security, vacation time and learning something new every day.
