this smile on my boy...

About a couple of months ago, my dog, Rocky bit another dog in the condo estate I live in. I wrote about it here.

Long story short, I apologized like a dog myself to the owners, a french couple.

They were very understanding. They let me off the hook.

They said it was fine and that dogs are dogs.

The french dude even came over to Rocky to pat him and said that it was fine.

I offered to pay for any medical fees, but they said that it was fine.

So just a couple of hours ago, I was out to get some dinner and ran into the owner again, walking his dog.

I said hi.

He walked over.

He shook my hand.

I patted his dog.

I asked how Gaya, his dog was and he said she was fine.

I said I was sorry again.

He replied, "No problems at all" and smiled as he went off.

This story is kind of a repeat, but it's worth telling.

I've never been so humbled.

For however angry you feel, how unfair you think life is, how you think most people are assholes or how much revenge you want in life:

Know that there're people out there who are able to let go of the things, at the snap of their fingers you find hard in letting go of.

This couple could have sued me, or lodged a complain to management or the police.

But they didn't. They texted me so. They told me that they hoped it wouldn't happen again.

And that was that.

Let go of the shitty things in life, because there's proof that there's people out there who can do it.

And they don't necessarily have the same luxuries like you do.
