CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME(CST) . PREVENTION !!!

in life •  8 years ago  (edited)

CTS - a disease typical of office workers, teens, gamers of all ages and people enthusiastically use their mobile phones to communicate on the web.

The most common cause of the disease - long work at the computer in the wrong position. Among other reasons - the wrong hands bend when using modern means of communication (tablets, laptops, etc..), Injuries and severe injuries of hands.

The first symptoms CTS - pain, tingling and numbness in the hands, unpleasant sensation when bending wrist, thumb and forefinger.

Prevention tunnel syndrome .

Did you know that the   rosary are a great trainer for your hands and help you avoid this disease . Beads stimulates blood circulation in your hands and rosary rotation develops your joints and tendons!

It is also a great way of prevention - it is the rotation of the balls (made of stone, metal, wood)

Take care of yourself and your health! Tunnel Syndrome is much better and easier to prevent than to cure.

A lot of people think muslims are all loonies but I had a lot of contact with them and they also have hand-bead things they use.

I switched to Dvorak keyboard layout, and all my CTS problems were solved. QWERTY keyboard layout is intended to slow you down. By making you exert way more energy than you really need to. It took me only 1 week to switch from touch typing with qwerty to dvorak, and my CTS problem disappeared, instantly, never to return.

Why exactly, such counterproductive standards still exist, boggles my mind. But then, I recently did 3 months in an IT support company. I was the only touch typist. It became a means to make fun of me, that I could write so much with my fingers when they all couldn't. Really, this is a thing in IT now. Almost nobody still touch types. For good reason. QWERTY touchtyping is only at best, for a normal person, about 2x standard hunt and peck. But it costs you big in pain.

Don't believe what anyone says about dvorak typists going faster. Nonsense. They just don't strain themselves as much. My typing speed did not increase, but my pain was zero after my retraining.

I agree with you ! Just when the pain is very strong already drawn to the doctor!

The best way to prevent carpal however is fostering and nurturing the mind body connection. Tendinitis isn't a real condition and it is only the effect of having a disturbed mind body connection. https://www.amazon.com/Healing-Back-Pain-Mind-Body-Connection/dp/0446557684 is a very good read on learning about the mind body connection.

This clip nerve ending wrist caused by a long monotonous work, in the wrong body position

Nonsense. -itis means swelling. If you were to cut it open and have a look, you can see that there is swelling and nerves are compressed and this is actually what causes the pain. Yes, relaxation exercises can lower baseline muscle tone but better is to just not do such hard work. The fact that everyone still has keyboard layouts that were designed for lever-hammer typewriters, that could literally not operate as fast as human fingers can, the layout is designed to make you work a lot harder, to reduce the incidence of jams. It's absolutely ridiculous that this persists but only touch typists learn just how painful it can be to type a lot. Simply by switching to the energy minimising dvorak layout, I stopped having frequent pain in my hands and wrists permanently. QWERTY was the real source of my pain.

If you have a look at what volume of text I write on the internet, you will see what I mean about how much I can type. With Dvorak, I can type 14 hours a day without any problem, for days on end. Especially with a nice light-touch full travel keyboard.

I'm not talking about the treatment of the disease, it was an exercise to prevent disease

Tendinitis isn't a real condition and it is only the effect of having a disturbed mind body connection.

SO THIS FEELING OF NAILS BEING DRIVEN IN MY ARMS ARE NOT REAL ????

Plz don't continue to spread this ABSOLUTE BS ...

holding hands over boards in static positions is the main culprit in the syndrome, beads etc keeps tendons and joints moving and blood better circulating. More importantly nerves have to move (glide) to provide the optimal environment
