YouTube CEO: Don't interrupt me with your microaggressions!steemCreated with Sketch.

WOW, it really does explain a lot about what's gone wrong with YouTube's management culture when the CEO of the most powerful video social network sounds more like a gossipy school girl than a top level executive...

She is asked "Is there a sexism problem in Silicon Valley today?" Her convoluted answer suggests there definitely is a problem, especially as she is "sexistly" and constantly interrupted via "micro-aggression" type behavior. But as for Google (and certainly for YouTube as well), there is clearly no problem and everything is very fair!

Mark Dice also provides an excellent summary and breakdown of the Wojcicki "interview":

And while many of our top videos were deemed too perverse and "advertiser unfriendly" to even remain on YouTube, let alone remain monetized (as described here), apparently Wojcicki has no problem supporting "super-advertiser friendly" videos such as this one by Rachel Bloom, since perhaps they're all besties who, "like", think exactly the same way, with, "like", all the "correct" political views. And in that case, you can pretty much get away with anything on YouTube (nsfw video warning)...

Rachel Bloom, "F#$@ Me, Ray Bradbury", ~4 million views:

Or perhaps I'm simply missing the point, and this is all part of the latest trend of "female empowerment", along with wearing a hijab?

I also lost count at the number of times Susan Wojcicki said "like". As one person commented on the video, “No wonder people interrupt her. She talks like a gossiping high school student!”

Most Memorable Quote from the Interview:

"Like, do not, like, tell me, like, what to do, like, that is, like, a micro-aggression!" - Susan Wojcicki, CEO YouTube

Now if we can just figure out a viable way to monetize older content (including music, videos, etc) with steem and/or steemit... seems we're getting sooo close to potentially turning this into "the next big thing"!

And if this doesn't even further make the point, while YouTube's management is busy "dealing" with users that don't quite suit their "agenda"...

Last month, YouTube lost 5 percent of its top advertisers in the US and Canada following a global uproar over its placement of ads from big companies alongside videos created by neo-Nazis and ISIS supporters.

Speaking at the YouTube Brandcast event for advertisers on Thursday, YouTube boss Susan Wojcicki said, “We apologize for letting some of you down. We [like] can, and we will, [like] do better.”

I like her Louboutins...

I'm surprised her upskirt shots weren't also considered "too explicit" for YouTube. Guess it's okay so long as you're "with her"! 😎👍

Disgusting sociopaths taking over free platforms with their "ideologies". The collective conscience of this nation is now being manipulated by these people and their disgusting algorithms designed to snub alt media.

it seems increasingly more YouTubers are now also looking to jump ship. Given we felt the need to jump ship in 2011, kudos to them for managing to survive (and even thrive) for so long.

So far, steemit (despite being geared more towards blogging) is still the best potential alternative I've come across since. And I've looked for years. Keep spreading the word folks..!

Katy Perry's latest sick video "Bon Appetit" on cannibalism and eating people. Any question whatsoever that YouTube would have no problem with it, 22M views and counting...?!
