The Minoan Palace at Knossos

On Wednesday we planned a trip to the Minoan Palace at Knossos, one of the places I was most looking forward to on my holiday!

We set off in the morning, about and hour and a half's drive along the coast from our hotel.

The views on the drive down where pretty spectacular!

Once we got to our location, the attraction was quite busy, waited in line for 20 minutes in 28 degree heat can get a bit much!
But once in it was fantastic, if your interested in archeology and history or not just seeing and touching parts of the palace that's thousands of years old is enough to give anyone goosebumps!

Parts of the palace have been restored to give you a sense of the grand scale!
