When Beauty Defines Who You are!

(Nigerian) Women spend so much time worrying about physical beauty.
They spend too much time worrying about the acnes on their face and the pimple below their nose.

A lot of women are constantly butchered on the tables of demands and pressure as to how men want them to look. It's sadly always about the men, so this defines them in entirety.

It is this same obsession an average woman has with beauty that makes her unable to grasp why a man would ditch her for a woman she thinks she is prettier than.

Go to a conference of Nigerian women.
All they yap endlessly about is beauty (and how to keep a man). #yawns.

"Turn to your neighbour and tell her 'my sister you are beautiful' and you are wonderfully made and you will receive your God given husband very soon".

"Every woman is beautiful. Don't look down on your fellow woman because God is somewhere, arranging a husband for her".

"Woman, say to yourself, I am beautiful and I will one day get married".
Pftt.

Men do not spare a second to yap about physical looks or women.
They don't care for what women wants, or how to keep a woman.
In a conference of men, they're interested in one thing –teach us how to keep winning. While at it, make it brief, straight to the point and powerful.

But I deviate.

It is for this same obsession with physical beauty a woman clutches tightly to a scum because she feels she is not physically beautiful enough to be paid attention to; so she holds on tightly to the only man who has ever thought to send her a message complimenting her beauty even with bad grammar and silly short forms.

"You look good my dear", and she's all over the place, imagining asoebi colours.

This same obsession with beauty is why you can easily shame a woman with looks and she will cower.

Is she fat and refused to date you? Shame her.

Is she black like coal and refused to return your messages? Shame her.

Is she stick thin and resisted when you tried to molest her? Shame her...
...she should be grateful you looked her way.

Tell a woman she is not smart and she'll forgive you.
Tell her she is not beautiful and she will spite you for the rest of her life...because women let physical beauty define them. They'd rather you spat on their intelligence than their physical looks.

I'm not saying beauty is not something. But is there something else inside of you that can override the obsession with physical looks?

What else makes you special? What else can you be proud of?
...because you see, at the end of the day, everyone is beautiful.
