My Birthday Weekend

For my birthday, I made the most of every moment. Had a small birthday party for myself with some great friends and my family. The day was busy but it was so much fun. We had a vegan feast that was delicious. It was a cauliflower bisque, mushroom seitan roast stuffed with butternut and cranberry stuffing; smashed potatoes and gravy; creamed spinach, and sticky toffee pudding. There was also lots of yummy beer but I don’t remember the names of the different ones. Once the kids were put to bed, Voices from the Mountains radio show was live from our library. We had a great time.

That was just my birthday day. My family truly made it a weekend of celebration. On Saturday they took me to brunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Watercourse. This is a plant-based/vegan restaurant. The food is outstanding. They had a new addition to their menu this trip which was “eggs” Benedict. I had spinach added to mine and ordered one of their amazing cinnamon rolls. The food was great. Later we went to an arcade called For the Win.

Sunday we got together with my grandmother at a restaurant called Yak and Yeti. She had never been there so it was fun to introduce her to the place. The food was great and they sand the Birthday song to me.

All in all my birthday weekend was a time of joy and celebration. I am so grateful to everyone who was able to celebrate it with me, even on Discord. Thank you all for your warm birthday wishes and kind words. I wish that anyone celebrating their birthday have an amazing one or weekend like I was able to. Love you all.
