Students and Police Involved Mutual Action in DPRD Sumut

The protests conducted by dozens of Medan City students in the North Sumatra Parliament Building ended in chaos, after a mass of actions tried to burn used tires in the North Sumatra Parliament Building .

When one of the students was giving speeches to express their aspirations related to the fuel price hike, requested that the government cancel the policy to enter the state infrastructure to foreign parties, and revoke the MD3 Law. Suddenly one of the action masses took the tires they had prepared and tried to burn them.

However, the action was prevented by the police who had started guarding the masses of action. As a result, a row broke out between the action masses and police officers.

After a while, thrusting action ensued and immediately heated up until there was a beating between students and police officers.

Some of the students who were involved in the clashes also became the beating months of the police. The increasingly violent mass then threw a bottle of drink containing the fuel to the entrance of the North Sumatra DPRD building that made the atmosphere more chaotic.

The police officers whose emotions are also uncontrolled then sprint and search for the mass of action that throws the fuel. Not long, the police finally backed down and tried to muffle the atmosphere.

Several students were hit by police, rescued by their colleagues for help.

"We're not animals, the police are like thugs for beating our friends," the students cheered.

The atmosphere was then conducive after police and security guards of the North Sumatra DPRD building stepped down to break the dispute.
