I'm trying to raise money for a couple of short films as well, what I've discovered is it's a slow grind to get enough of a foothold to start making money.
I'm pretty dedicated though and working in that direction anyway. Have you lookedinto getting film friends involved?
Another place to look is @minnowsupport If you join them (which takes some direction but worth it) they let you boost your post twice a day for another 40 to 60 cents.
