Our mind works just like our body. But as it's invisible we don't really feel it and it's easy to unnoticed. After hard work, we need to rest to be more productive and energize towards life. Just like the same, our minds also need this break time to regain energy. It doesn't mean we are failing or not productive anymore. Rather it's totally opposite and it's very necessary.

There are many people who believe feeling optimistic and yes to life is very necessary. This mentality forces us to not accept our true feeling. So accept what you are feeling and deal with that for the long term benefits of your mental health.

It's actually in our hands how we choose to make our downtime productive. If you start to cry or harm yourself because you are not feeling good, this would not be very good for your mental health. Rather we should try to practice how to accept our downtime and do something productive while passing some relaxing time.

Well, first of all; relaxing our mind is very necessary. Shift your focus and try something new like gardening or have a good cup of coffee. Or do whatever interests you. Try some meditation and breathing practice and give yourself quality time, talk in your mind. But the most important thing is don't force yourself to feel better.

Remember downtime is not permanent. So focus on other things on your life and you will notice you start to feel the connection again.
