Dear reader,
Here I am, plugging back in, after being away for 4 months. My last post was in July, after I broke my hand on a stranger’s face. Despite many urgings from @Swolesome, I’ve been reluctant to post anything and haven’t been involved in the community. I regret that even though I have tried to write posts, they have been left unfinished.
That ends today.
It’s 4:43 AM and I have to be at work in less than two hours. Hooray for a twelve hour straight (gotta love the holidays) in which I’ll deal with screaming kids and rude teenagers and hours of online HIPAA training.
I did not move to Oklahoma, I did not become a truck driver, and I did not see my family.
I’m currently working two jobs, one of which is a program coordinator at a daycare that offers time consuming split shifts. Despite how it limits my schedule, I enjoy the job and find it fairly fulfilling for the time being. The other is a draining position as a server in a food franchise full of ungrateful guests and incompetent local management.
I’ve been dating a great guy for a couple months; moved in with him almost immediately. I did so out of necessity when my mother kicked me out of her home saying I’d been spending too much time away from the house and that my priorities were skewed. For the record, I had just gotten my first job, at the food franchise, and was working doubles and single evening shifts 5-6 days a week.
My current project is a motorcycle I bought for $600. It’s a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 500 named Calypso. My truck started misfiring in 3 out of 6 cylinders and based on the diagnosis my local (and trustworthy) automotive repair shop gave me, it’s too expensive for me to pay to have it fixed and too difficult for me to repair myself. My solution was to use the money I had saved up (less than the cost to repair my truck) and buy a beater motorcycle and get my endorsement so I can have a vehicle that gets much better gas mileage than my truck and have a reliable mode of transportation that leaves me unreliant on others.
I haven’t really been gaming, I haven’t been going to parties, BUT I have been travelling. Mostly nighttime trips to Tampa, FL.
In the following weeks, I will catch you up on the miserable but somehow satisfying events in my life; everything from EVERY FUCKING REPAIR I’VE MADE TO THE MONEY SINKHOLE MOTORCYCLE to all the money and keys getting stolen from coworkers at my food franchise job which management still hasn’t done shit about.
I’ve noticed an exponential increase in my followers. I look forward to posting frequently and seeing your feedback because I need both money and validation, like any normal person.
Sincerely,
Jay

I remember when you broke your hand. That was rough. Glad you are back. Keep your head up, and fight. I salvaged a 2003 GSXR 1000 I got for $900.00 It had some issues but I sorted them all out. Its nice to have a garage.
