Due to an obscenely abnormal amount of crazy during the month of October, my home cleaning activities slacked a bit.
Ok, ok, they slacked a lot.
So we had to spend three full days cleaning and organizing and getting ready for the unexpected freeze.
It was not pleasant. I won't lie. I abhor cleaning. It's such a waste of time, right? I mean, it's just going to get messy all over again! And almost immediately!
We were finally finished yesterday afternoon. And I was sore and grumpy. But after putting away the cleaning supplies and pressing the start button on that last load of laundry, I looked around the house and felt...
Peace.
It felt good! Just being in a clean and neat environment felt tranquil and harmonious.
I hadn't realized it until after The Cleansing, but all that chaos had stagnated the energy in my house.
Energy needs to flow. Everything must flow or it builds up and backs up and creates a feeling that is less than serene. This happens when you dam a river and when you have a pile of junk covering the coffeetable.
Clean your house. Organize your environment. If you do not have kids- keep it that way! It will reward you with positive energy. Energy that will work in line to reward your visualization efforts.
Now excuse me while I go pick up the toys my boys left out... Sigh, it's neverending ;)

When getting to my father's place for the following week I had to hoover there, again (why you so lazy dad?), when the hallway was again, full of gravel and leaves, and I can't tolerate the feeling of small gravel in my feet when walking in the apartment.
But besides that I also cleaned up my mind. Wasn't in my intention to release this peace but your theme about cleaning came with such good timing that I changed my mind.

Yeah, once the kids got passed a certain age, we had them put their own toys away and when they forget, we let them know. Nowadays though, they know that it has to be Rosie approved. Rosie is the Queen of the House (my pink hippo). They do it for her! But they don't do it for me or for Frank! lol Rosie's got authority! (And don't you forget it, she says.)
As for me, and Frank, laundry and dishes are out downfall. It piles up. I took care of the dishwasher tonight and all that. But the clothes I folded the other day, we both still have not put them away. /facepalm I know!

We have a rescue kitty who is a polydactyl with seven toes on each front paw- three being thumbs! She picks up little screws and bolts, and opens drawers and cabinets to pull out toys and treats for the other rescues! So far I have been unsucessful with teaching her how to actually put things back where they belong, tho...

A couple of my sisters sent me away for a couple of hours on Sunday and came over and tackled my kids' room! They got everything that wasn't being used out of the house. It was so nice to sit down and relax with the kids Sunday evening and feel that positive energy flow throughout the house. It helped me get my mind ready for Monday too.
Love when I don't have the mess stagnating the energy around me and love that I have siblings that understand what a stressful year this has been and want to help eliminate any stress they can from my life. :-)
