Are you sharing your marbles?

in life •  7 years ago

When you were playing in the playground or with your siblings as a toddler, what did your mother teach you?

“Share your cookies and toys!”

That was our first lesson in sharing and getting on with other people, wasn't it!

  • Well in business, it’s the same. You gain more by sharing, than holding onto important info and been mean. Playing nice is creating good public relations!
  • When someone asks a shop assistant for help, the best policy is for him or her to give help and assist the person. Been nasty and unhelpful would affect the sales of the shop!

So it is with blogging.

Giving the best service:

  1. Sharing your marbles, is sharing what you know, through sharing your experiences and skills.
  2. Sharing your cookies, is sharing the good, tasty things. It could be recipes and free downloads. Or exciting facts… that will sweeten the lives of those who read your blogs.
  3. Sharing your toys, is sharing how things work. Putting things into action, into what you say and do. And supplying demos and instructions on how to do things.

Building relationships:

  • Talking about things others can relate to.
  • Conversation is a `two way street’: Listen to what people are saying. And where possible acknowledging those who leave comments on your blogs and praising those who leave relevant input.
  • If there is a need, try to follow up, with info or come back in another blog with the full load-down on the topic.
  • Always been pleasant under pressure… not replying to ugly comments and ignoring hanger-on scams, to avoid unpleasant squabbles. As the saying goes: ` Less said, sooner mended!’

Result:

  • Together we build not only good relationships, we build the community we are in, and in so doing build it’s good reputation.
  • Friendly and united, we stand and benefit together. Strength of numbers gets more done and quicker!
  • Sharing and working together as a formidable team, we create greater power, strength and drive. Thus, success can’t be held back from us.

If we want our sites to do well and trend quickly, we need better relationships and sharing of our marbles, cookies and toys, don’t you think!

Sort Order:

Yeah, in fact we come to that point where we realize that giving others means giving ourselves. Since we are all One, there is no way that giving another doesn't ricochet back to us.

In a sense, being selfless is also selfish, because we know that seeing others happy makes us happy as well!

As to the relationships, yes, when I entered Steemit I felt as if I had entered a time loop catapulting me a few years forward, and even though we are still rather a minority, the minority starts feeling like the majority, or should I say we are a conglomerate of Souls capable of moving houses? ;)

I liked all that you said. It sort of added to what I was saying. Thank you. Yes, when we share we do become one, united in understanding and appreciation. And that creates a friendship bond, no longer `out on a limb'.

absolutely right!
thats really a nice way to build your beautiful and sweet blog by sharing your marbles something that you know.

Friendly and united, we stand and benefit together. Strength of numbers gets more done and quicker!

and yeah such an important thing to be unite because unite we stand individual we fall soo why not done things while being united.
i always learn something from your post and i hope my blog building capacity will increase day by day @artguru

Another thing my mother taught me was, "Ask your sibling is you can play with their toys!" This was showing respect/. Not only to my sibling, but I became aware that I should not miss-use or damage my siblings things either.

yap asking someone for using their words statments toys anything would incrase your respect although they will not object you if you use them without permission but they feel bad in their heart such an important lesson your mother must be a great person as she got such an great daughter!

I think you only appreciate your Moms when you become a parent yourself. So that is why I made sure I told her and thanked her, before she died (that was many years ago).

ohh RIP.yap absolutely right!

Thats rightly said @artguru
I totally agree with the first point of your result section that is

Together we build not only good relationships, we build the community we are in, and in so doing build it’s good reputation

I also tried to start blogging but all in vain

What do you mean, `all in vain'? How come?

I started steemit to get some liquid cash...but still i am broke... So it is not working

Patience is a long word, hey!
We all start out that way. But if we keep at it, with other people in mind and their needs, the law of sharing starts to believe in you and rewards you for your everlasting kindness and hard work!

Firstly I want to say it's great to see more posts from you. Every time I visit your wall I have learned something new, either it's about life or the skill of writing . Thank you for being an inspiration.
This article of yours show a very meangful lesson of life which means that if you can't help anyone then please don't bother them anyway, but the best part would be if you share your happiness with others and remain by their sides in the time of sorrows. The summary would be "Sharing is caring".

I share what I do because I do care. Especially for those who are struggling with blogging, because I was there once too and needed help. And I too am also learning. The world is changing so fast, it's hard to keep up with the new technology, and... what the hackers get up to next!

You are totally right and I would like to say Thank you for your help and support in my case , I love and feel proud to be your follower.
I hope you will achieve more success in your future. You are the person who gave me the inspiration and motivation to stay on steemit because you are the first person who responded me with positive feedback and appreciate my comments. Thank you for all your help

I'm so glad I've been of help. Thank you for your kind words. It makes it all worthwhile, with what I do. Sometimes one wonders if what you do is really been of help.

Your responses are more than a help for me. May you be bless with more

the more you share the more you get back !
and when it comes to steemit and blogging,
we need to work together. Here success depends upon others also, here we need to build relationships
how we engage and care about each other
makes alot of differnce

We may sit at home, as one little person, but on Steemit we can be united in helping each other.
So each person does have power to change the world for the better. Little by little, bit by bit, we make our mark on the world.

Madam your post is Awesome...I Like it.
Madam you give me a vote. and follow me.

I also follow you....

Sharing, got it.
I always share with my readers the sites i get some amazing information or quotes from. so whenever i quote or write some thing i don't expect them to know much about, i share with them for more knowledge.
it's fascinating how they are glad to share with me in the comment section or in their blogs as well.
I think sharing is a big deal in blogging. awesome @artguru.
Hoping I can contact you on steemitchat or discord. or by email.
please let me know. thanks.

When I first started out with Steemit, I use Steemchat. Folks there were very friendly and helpful.
I also download discord when it first started out, but since I wasn't actually using it, I discontinued that connection.
Running two websites takes a lot of my time. Especially now, because some people have hacked into my other website and I'm having trouble getting it back into shape. I also plan to update my art book manuals manuscripts and turn them into eBooks. That's got to take up a lot of my time for sure.
But I really do appreciate your input and others who come to see what is happening and been said on my Steemit blogs.

I may not reply to all the comments. But I must say I appreciate their input all the same, because they took the time to say something of value.
