Ragtag Garden Disappeared

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Yesterday, the Ragtag Garden was still visible despite the heavy snow we'd had.

Then, it snowed all night and all today, burying everything except the firepit.

All of the containers are up to the brim in snow. There's no lid on the square bin either. That's all snow, too.

Tink is trying to figure out where her paths went. I gave up trying to keep them dug out after they refilled for the third time.

And, it's still snowing...

Poor little Tink! She’s probably sick of snow. Hope it won’t last long. 🐓🐓

Yeah, she's done with it. Mostly cabin fever, but enough is enough.

Horrible white stuff spoils all our fun, hate it .. :)

I keep telling myself it's killing all those pests that munch on my veggies. lol!

That's true let's hope its killed them all, would be a great help :)

Looks like a lot of snow. All we are getting is a ton of rain, day after day, to the point where there are flood warnings. It will be nice when spring gets here.

Yeah, this is by far the most we've had this winter.

Yuck - winter rain is the pits. Hopefully the flood warnings work and no one is hurt.

I second the 'hurry up spring' motion!

Looks like the never ending snow in my garden right now too....... Come on spring already!

I second that motion!!

Oh dear, that's discouraging! What time of year does it usually quit snowing where you live? We have had quite a stretch of highs in the 40s, even 52 yesterday, but it's only February, and snow through March is normal. Today it's much cooler, so back to normal!

I'm just southwest Chicago in Indiana. We've had snow as late as May, but usually by the end of March/beginning of April we're done. I'm looking forward to some of those temps above 40. Sounds like you've had a decent patch lately!

Yes, it has been unusually warm for this time of year. If it gets cold and snowy again, I will be very sad. At least there's comfort in knowing spring is just around the corner, and fresh snow won't be around very long!

Oh, Tink! "Moooommmm!!! Shovel my walks again!"
I hope you don't have to get out in that stuff, even if it really beautiful.

Yeah, it's getting just a bit too deep for her to navigate. I'll probably re-do them tomorrow. I was whipped after doing the front walk to get to my car, dig out the car, then the driveway behind the car to see if I could get out onto the street. (Yes - barely. Whew!) Oh, and also out front where @uncle-dan parks. We have to keep pace with the plowed stuff or we're stuck til it thaws. It freezes like concrete.

And, I do agree, it's very beautiful, especially when undisturbed. So the backyard looks pristine and the front like a war zone. That's winter in Chicagoland. LOL!

That’s some nice deep snow! The garden looks pretty in all that white. Keep warm!

It is that! I guessing ten inches at least. It is pretty and if I could, I'd aim some your way for a few days.

Thanks and will do!

Yikes! It’s just not letting up!

It's supposed to stop around noon on Sunday. We could get another 3 or 4 inches in the meantime. This beats sub-zero and windy, though. (That was last year...)
